The company owns and operates Baspa-II hydro power plant with a capacity of 300 megawatts (MW) located at district Kinnaur, Himachal Pradesh; Vishnuprayag hydro power plant with a capacity of 400 MW located at district Chamoli, Uttrakhand; Karcham-Wangtoo hydro power plant with a capacity of 1000 MW located at district Kinnaur, Himachal Pradesh; Bina thermal power plant with a capacity of 500 MW located at district Sagar, Madhya Pradesh. It also has a power transmission line covering 217 kilometers for distribution and consumption in the states of Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan. The company was formerly known as Jaiprakash Hydro-Power Limited. Jaiprakash Power Ventures Limited was incorporated in 1994 and is headquartered in New Delhi, India.
