The Systems division provides specialist electronic surveillance systems based on its proprietary technology to customers with security requirements primarily in oil and gas operations, gaming, infrastructure protection, high security, transport, and public spaces. The Integration & Managed Services division is involved in the design, integration, turnkey supply, monitoring, and management of large-scale electronic security systems to critical infrastructure, transport, public space, and multi-site systems markets. Synectics plc also develops integrated software solutions and products for security and surveillance networks; and provides security outsourcing support and management services to retail and multi-site customers. The company was formerly known as Quadnetics Group plc and changed its name to Synectics plc in July 2012. Synectics plc was founded in 1983 and is based in Studley, the United Kingdom.
