$OPAY It's not surprising that the stock declined since September - this was the reaction to July 2014 acquisition. What was the reason for a UK-based payments company to enter US through expensive acquisition? #sell

The goal of Meritus Payment Solutions and Global Merchant Advisors acquisition was smart (for the company) and negative for investors: to hide decline in the revenue and EBITDA growth rate while stock price was still high.

$OPAY was trading at about 22 EV/EBITDA at the time of acquisition and expected 2015 EBITDA growth was only 19% which is too expensive.

My move was to #sell this stock three months ago.

$OPAY I agree with your point and would add that the acquisition doesn't seem like having clear financial sense: 16 EV/2013 EBITDA for Meritus doesn't look like a "Strong financial rationale – expected to enhance earnings" given that $OPAY trades around ~20 as well.

$OPAY I just read the presentation about Meritus and GMA acquisition and I should admit that it's messy and doesn't communicate important points which makes me suspicious that Optimal Payments doesn't know what they are doing and why:
1) "Acquisition of fast growing businesses in key US market" (page 7) - this is strategic rational. Are there any synergies? Why do they need to go to US market at all?
