Mwana Africa PLC, a multi-commodity resources company, engages in the exploration, development, and production of gold, nickel, copper, cobalt, and diamonds in Zimbabwe, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), South Africa, Ghana, Angola, and Botswana. It primarily holds 85% interest in the Freda Rebecca gold mine, and 75.4 % interests in the Shangani and Trojan nickel mines that are located to the north-east of Harare, Zimbabwe; 80% interest in the Zani-Kodo project in the Ituri district in the DRC; and 100% interests in 33 exploration licenses in the Katanga copper belt region of southeastern DRC. The company was incorporated in 1987 and is based in London, the United Kingdom.
