Agriterra Limited invests in, develops, and operates agricultural and associated civil engineering projects in Africa. It operates through Grain, Beef, and Cocoa segments. The Grain segment purchases maize from out-growers and processes into corn flour/maize meal, which is used to make various pancakes, flatbreads and porridges, and bran/harmony chop products. This segment markets its products under the DECA brand. The Beef segment is involved in cattle ranching and feedlot production activities. This segment also operates an abattoir at Chimoio; and retail units in Chimoio, Tete, Manica, and Beira. The Cocoa segment holds a 3,200 hectare cocoa plantation located to the south-east of Kenema, Sierra Leone. The company also holds a lease of approximately 45,000 hectares of brownfield agricultural land for palm oil production in the Pujehun District in the Southern Province of Sierra Leone; and provides aviation services. Agriterra Limited is based in Maputo, Mozambique.
