The Communications and Connectivity segment provides aircraft and in-building communications equipment, law enforcement and national security monitoring solutions, and satellite communication equipment for land, sea, and air applications; and specialist composite products for military and commercial applications, and test and measure instrumentation for radio frequency, cellular communications, and wireless networking. The Mission Systems segment offers safety and survival systems for extreme environments; aerial refueling systems and wing-tip to wing-tip mission systems for jets; transport aircraft and rotorcraft; and remote controlled robots and fully equipped bomb disposal vehicles for military and homeland security. The Advanced Electronic Solutions segment provides critical solutions for communication on land, at sea, and in the air and in space, by moving data through off-the-shelf; and customized products, including radio frequency, microwave and microelectronics, antenna subsystems, and motion control solutions. This segment also supplies its products and solutions to defense, wireless/mobile and fixed broadband, X-ray imaging, medical, industrial, and point of sale markets. The Aviation Services segment delivers outsourced aviation services for military and civil customers through military training, special mission flight operations, outsourced commercial aviation, and aircraft engineering. This segment operates a fleet of 18 Boeing 717 aircraft for QantasLink, the regional airline of Qantas. Cobham plc was founded in 1934 and is based in Wimborne, the United Kingdom.
