$SKY results are simply amazing... but the profit margin growth should shop soon:
- Italy, Germany and Austria are already better in churn than the UK
- ARPU is stable in most of the countries
- Costs could not be cut forever
Fix the profit from the current share price spike in the next 1-2 weeks max.
$SKY 9m results are worth a thousand of words:
- 5% increase in group revenue to £8,453 million
- 20% increase in operating profit to £1,025 million

$SKY Under the terms of the transaction, Sky has received cash of £600 million and a vendor loan note, and will be entitled to further consideration contingent on CVC achieving certain minimum return criteria on its investment in Sky Bet. Sky has retained an equity stake of 20% in Sky Bet and ongoing board representation.
Sky has today completed the sale of an 80% stake in its online betting and gaming business, Sky Betting & Gaming (“Sky Bet”), to funds advised by CVC Capital Partners (“CVC”) and members of the Sky Bet management team, in a deal which values Sky Bet at £800 million. This follows the receipt of all required regulatory clearances.
Sky is set to add a range of mobile voice and data services to its customer offering for the first time following agreement of a new partnership with Telefónica UK. Under the terms of the multi-year deal, Telefónica UK will give Sky wholesale access to 2G, 3G and 4G services over its popular nationwide network... Sky plans to launch its first mobile telephony services to customers in 2016.

$SKY Sky has made a $4m equity investment in Elemental Technologies, a US-based software company specialising in multiscreen video delivery... The financing is part of a $14.5 million Series D round of funding led by Telstra, Australia’s largest telecommunications and information services company, along with participation from Elemental’s existing investors.
This minority high risk VC investment is basically a $4m to "to share perspectives and insight"
Advertisers using Sky AdSmart can now deliver TV ads to Sky homes by postcode area. The ability to focus advertising using the first one or two letters of a postcode builds on the existing location-based targeting offered by Sky AdSmart, which allows the selection of TV regions and metropolitan areas across the UK such as Leicester, Belfast and Cardiff.

$SKY The change of the company’s name from British Sky Broadcasting Group plc to Sky plc is subject to shareholder approval at its AGM on 21 November 2014. The company’s stock exchange ticker will change to SKY from 14 November 2014.
In order to recognise the international scope of the business, following the acquisition the company will change its name to Sky, in place of British Sky Broadcasting (BSkyB). The company will be listed on the London Stock Exchange under the symbol SKY.
